Road Atlanta Grand Prix @ Road Atlanta
Mar 26 – Mar 29 all-day

Vintage racing headlines the Road Atlanta Grand Prix

The 2020 Road Atlanta Grand Prix featuring vintage sports racecar events will take place from 26 to 29 March.

Road Atlanta’s unique combination of fast sweeping corners, quick esses, off-camber turns, elevation changes and high-speed straights makes it perfect for every variety of vintage racer. All SVRA race groups are invited. MG Vintage Racers (MGVR) has selected this weekend for their 2020 MG Focus Event. An exciting array of MGs will add to the memories.

Over the years, Road Atlanta has played a significant role in the Can-Am, Trans-Am, Camel GT and Petit Le Mans—always rewarding cars blessed with both power and grip. Contemporary Trans Am presented by Pirelli, Miata Heritage Cup and International GT take advantage of those rewards.

After last year’s success, the Vintage Race Of Champions Charity Pro-Am Series (VROC) will return. VROC races pair veteran Indy, IMSA, Trans-Am, NASCAR and Formula 1 racers with amateur partners driving Corvettes, Camaros and Mustangs. The Atlanta VROC Charity Pro-Am benefits Hope For The Warriors; a national non-profit organization that provides assistance to post 9/11 combat-wounded service members, their families and the families of those killed in action.

Dix Mille Tours du Castellet @ Circuit Paul Ricard
Apr 4 – Apr 5 all-day

Racing at the Dix Mille Tours du Castellet

This year, the Dix Mille Tours du Castellet event, usually organised in the autumn, kicks off the series by Peter Auto season. This change is very fitting for the drivers who can take advantage of a particularly safe environment to find their marks or to get to grips with their new cars.

The Paul Ricard circuit, dedicated to private testing for many years, pardons errors thanks to its large asphalt run-off areas that cause less bodywork damage than the more commonly used gravel traps. This event has another particularity as it is the only one in the season to use two different layouts depending on the series: the one used for the French Formula 1 Grand Prix and the classic layout without the “North” chicanes. In the second configuration the 1.8-km long Mistral straight allows the Group C Racing prototypes to achieve a top speed of 300 km/h!

Dix Mille Tours du Castellet Events

Also included wil be a double-header round of the HSCC Historic Formula 3 Championship.

The spectators’ car park is free like the access to the grandstand opposite the pits and the one beside the Grand Prix Hall. The paddocks entry ticket allows its possessors to get near the 300 racing cars and talk to the drivers. It also gives access to the exhibitors’ village.
