Join the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) for Charlotte SpeedTour – a roval race weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Events
Corvettes are being celebrated as the main feature.
All SVRA classes will be present including the Miata Heritage Cup – bound to be exciting on the roval track.
The historic Charlotte 1.5-mile banked oval built in 1959 by Bruton Smith was one of the first Super Speedways. Today, there’s not only an adjacent four-lane quarter-mile dragstrip, but an incredible “roval” track that combines portions of the banked oval Speedway with an infield road course to create a 2.28-mile, 17-turn “street circuit on steroids!” In 2019, the road course was updated by widening the backstretch chicane for safer side-by-side racing.

Lime Rock has been in continuous operation since 1957, making it one of the longest-running, historically important and authentic race tracks in America. Just 1.5-miles around, Lime Rock is a surprisingly fast “momentum” course with short straights, complex corners and exciting elevation changes. Juan Manuel Fangio II famously called Lime Rock “A mysterious riddle, a track where a perfect lap will never be driven!”
Competing at Lime Rock has been described as “a picnic in a park with cars,” since the track is cradled in a natural amphitheater formed by the Litchfield Hills. Spectators can be found frolicking on the grassy banking, but never on Sunday, since a court injunction has barred Sunday racing since 1959.

The Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or which Peter Auto took over again in 2014, is the trail-blazer in historic racing meetings and it has now regained its former glory. It is held on a much-loved circuit whose pits have been renovated and is one the drivers’ and spectators’ favourite rendezvous.
This event is the oldest historic car meeting in France as the first Coupes de l’Age d’Or was held on the Rouen-les-Essarts circuit in 1964 as a curtain-raiser to the French Formula 1 Grand Prix. The event is now held on the Dijon-Prenois circuit, the theatre of the most epic duel in the history of F1 during the 1979 French Grand Prix between Gilles Villeneuve in his Ferrari and René Arnoux in his Renault.
Events
The Peter Auto grids are devoted to different periods of the history of motor sport and to different circuit racing cars: GTs, Sports cars, Prototypes and Touring cars from the 1950s to the 2000s.
- 2.0L Cup
- Classic Endurance Racing
- Fifties’ Legends
- Heritage Touring Cup
- Sixties’ Endurance
- The Greatest’s Trophy
Circuit
The short circuit in Burgundy (3.8 km) is a huge challenge for the drivers in the series by Peter Auto with, in particular, the blind La Bretelle corner, the uphill Parabolique hairpin and the never-ending very quick Pouas curve. The public love the dip and gather there in large numbers in what is almost a real stadium ideally situated only a stone’s throw from the paddocks. This is where the 300 racing cars are prepared throughout the weekend in temporary garages that are accessible to the spectators. In this zone too is the exhibitors’ village in which boutiques of all kinds whose common link is the motor car are installed.

The 10th staging of Le Mans Classic has been a long time coming and fans will have had to wait for three years to see again the classic cars on the long circuit. Created in 2002 by Peter Auto in association with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, Le Mans Classic offers a great retrospective of the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours. In 2021, the event will include several novelties and celebrate various anniversaries.
The Le Mans Classic offers spectators and entrants equally-matched fields in terms of performance and historic pertinence. The 500 racing cars are divided up into six grids, each of which corresponds to a particular period. The cars selected are those that have taken part in the Le Mans 24 Hours between 1923 and 1981. Priority is given to cars that have actually raced in the event in their particular era. For each grid, 10 reserves take part in the day and night-time practice sessions to be ready to fill a place left vacant by the withdrawal or retirement of another car. A Le Mans-type start as used between 1925 and 1969 will be given for grids 1-2-3-4. Flying starts will be used for the others.

1923-1939

All SVRA classes will be participating at the Brainerd SpeedTour.
Circuit
Brainerd International Raceway has come a long way since its modest beginnings in 1968, when George Montgomery carved “Donnybrooke Speedway” through the woods near Long Lake, MN. The track quickly developed into a top-notch circuit, playing host to some of the biggest names in racing. Brainerd’s 13-turn, 2.5-mile Competition Road Course uses part of the original circuit plus a giant, Babe-size 300-degree right-hander that takes racers back across the infield to Turn One. It’s famous as the biggest and fastest turn on any road course in America!
